there’s really no way to say to your friends “i want to meet and hang out in person so i can learn what you smell like” without them thinking you’re a musk freak. i just have the animal desire to learn your scent so i can find you in the wild

i mean i am also a musk freak but the two things can coexist

@digitalfox thank you for prompting me to literally spend 20 minutes searching for academic literature on the donkey and red panda sense of smell to learn: donk can smell you from 10km away, but red panda can smell you in much more detail!
