I don't think the UK media have made nearly enough noise about the US Navy sinking an *unarmed* Iranian warship and then, in clear violation of the Geneva Conventions, leaving them to drown.

This is a heinous war crime which the media would be rightly up in arms about if any country that wasn't nominally an "ally" had done it.

@statsguy I want media to focus more on the "leaving them to drown" and on the illegallity of the war itself. When you are in a war, you can sink enemy warships unarmed or not and you don't even need to ask wether they're armed. It is a ship build to fire at enemies. But even in war you very explicitly can't let the sailors just drown.

@martinschlegel @statsguy Tricking an enemy to disarm itself and go to a mutual location to partake in a peaceful display and then backing out of that display and lying in wait for that thus tricked enemy to slaughter them as they stand defenseless....

That's an act of cowardice, not war. It was terrorism.
