@kristiedegaris I spent a wonderful unplanned night in Alnwick in the 90s with a couple of friends, when the A1 froze into a sheet of ice just as we were approaching the exit and we decided discretion was the better part of valour: we found a lovely B&B and we failed to win an extremely hard pub quiz.

@kristiedegaris that looks amazing! I can’t believe I didn’t have a chance to go in on that night in the early 90s 😂 My UK driving tours always revolve around secondhand book shops, much to the chagrin of my family.
