Someday soon Xcode's primary UI is going to be a chat interface, and you'll never care to see the code underneath, and I wish I were joking

@stroughtonsmith Will there be Xcode, VSCode, etc? Maybe we’ll just download a tools package of terminal based software and then use your favorite AI front to use these tools to build XYZ
@stroughtonsmith my bet is talking is going to be so much faster than typing that you’ll mostly use a microphone and not a chatbox.

@stroughtonsmith I believe it, but also…. I really like programming, because of the whole code aspect! But i’m not too stubborn to move with the times.

Your posts have made me think I should AI those projects I’ve had on a list for a decade and will never start

@stroughtonsmith @alexr Jira has been my IDE at work for a few weeks now. All the planning and work happens there. I then run a command in terminal and Atalssian CLI > Copilot CLI > GH CLI gets the ticket, does the work and raises the PR. I spit out a nice markdown summary and mermaid diagram of what was done, cross reference it against the PR and move to the next ticket.
@gary_bbgames @stroughtonsmith That, but also the energy of those "mission control” kanban boards that all the OpenClaw folks are using. I want to see small spinning activity animations moving about items on the board and pivot to a live activity-oriented view and back. Not sure of the best UX, but it's clearly no longer a single project at a time with manual build/test/debug phases.
