Nerds! Is there a location tracker (like a physical tag) that I could put in a backpack and attach to an app so my family could see where I was at any given point in time? Ideally I'd like one that draws a fun little map with my route. AirTags? Do they draw a little map or just say current location?

[NOTE: I am not recommending anyone else does this, and it won't be permanent, I just have a limited use case for which I would like to use one of these things]

@girlonthenet Do they need to be able to see your position live? If not then either a GPS logger (or your phone recording location) can give you a timestamped GPX file that you can load into anything like komoot for people to see.
@ross ooh that's v helpful thank you!
@girlonthenet You can't seem to buy the one I bought a while ago (<cough> before the iPhone had GPS) anymore but "gps logger" on your favourite store shows they still exist. Press button, they record the time/location, then you can do with that what you want. Or just use Strava. :)
@ross amazing thank you so much!
