“I really can’t recommend systemic sclerosis as a preventative.”

I was explaining how SSc messes with collagen and causes fibrosis inside and psych made the link with far too much wonder and glee “that’s why you have no wrinkles!”

😂 Love your humour :)

Messes meaning increases? I guess I can look it up... it seems it does.
I find it ironic that while skincare is trying to increase it as one of their primary goals, there is research that men have more of it by default, and they are also more susceptible to damage from the sun, and one of the possible causes is... having more collagen.
I agree, anyone sane would choose wrinkles if they were given an option.

@triffen thanks! 😄

Yeah, increases collagen, significantly.
Does that help with hair length, I wonder? I struggled throughout childhood to get it mid shoulders, but now it’ll soon reach my knees and shows no sign of slowing down despite anaemia.

I’d love to have some wrinkles and grey and actually look my age (it’s a big one this year 😖)

@Kymberly Oh wow, knee-long hair is something I always 'wanted', but again not _that_ strongly ;)
Judging from all the collagen supplements promising better hair, it seems connected, and it should be generated within the body to really work, so that checks out too.
Sometimes looking around, it seems that looking my age means having too short and non-flattering haircut, and aiming at chestnut hair colour but ending in aubergine. I refuse to look like that 😂

@triffen It’s a royal pain to brush, and entwines cat hair like crazy, but I like kanzashi hair sticks too much to give it up.

Ooo, aim for a really purple aubergine, that’d be a great colour!

@Kymberly Oh, I tried dyeing my hair a few times with henna, looked good, but even that is too much fuff.
Hair sticks is another thing I'd like to be able to use, but my hair is Houdini and gets free from any bounds in minutes ;)
