So, I am considering hosting a microblogging social instance to get integrations going for #badgefed and #fediprofile, I think I am at the point of needing to do what I have always avoided.

What are your recommendations? It should be EASY for the final user, UX over everything. I can handle the hosting and technical aspects, but I am a newbie in moderation.

@mapache I've been running #GoToSocial for over a year with a SQLite backend and it is super simple and straightforward while being fully featured. I use it with #Phanpy as the client. Happy to answer any questions or help if I can.

@shom do you feel missing you some features from Mastodon? Does Phanphy shows any weird thing when using lists or does it gratefully degrades?

@mapache the only phanpy feature that doesn't work is multi hashtag timeline. Everything thing else works just as well or better. It's more privacy focused which I also appreciate.
