I just finished chapter 9, the one set in WWI, and while I'm having an incredibility good time with this game, the boss at the end of this chapter was absolutely terrible.

I'm using save states (I know, I know, some of the spirit of the original games is lost, and whatnot, and honestly, I don't care), and thankfully I saved across phases, and it still took me several tries because of how clunky it all feels.

Other than that? An absolute gem of a game. The narrative structure is great, the story is engaging, and the gameplay is cool.

@hk I have so much nostalgia for Eternal Darkness despite being entirely uninterested in similar horror type games as a genre. So many neat ideas trying to make something that feels unique and interesting.

Without spoiling any details about how or what: there's a secret scene that you're unlikely to see on a first playthrough that enjoyably adds to the lore. Worth taking a minute to watch it on Youtube after you finish the game.

@squipo Thanks for the heads-up,I'll definitely check it!

And I agree, ED feels really unique, I think that in part because it takes the setting of a horror game but is more focused on the story and the puzzles than on the survival part.
