@jripley understand you point about credit history but even with credit history was UK credit line higher for you? I’m seeing UK premium cc they max out at like 30k or so, in the US it’s literally unlimited…

@kangaroo5383 @jripley As someone who grew up in the UK and now lives elsewhere in Europe, a 30k limit sounds terrifyingly high.

@ikenndac @jripley yeah that was the point i was trying (perhaps badly!) making… the US economy depends on debt, 30k limit is like “normal” there are credit cards that are unlimited and once i even put a 80k purchase on once bc there were no fee and i get all the points 😅

I’ve tried to buy a car on a credit card but they wouldn’t let me. Even with a car loan as a backup. They basically didn’t want to eat the fees. ☹️
