@Iconfactory it makes me want to attend and eWorld conference in Minneapolis though
@Iconfactory Love this - so many memories.
@Iconfactory I remember making my weekly status report as an extension that put a little smoking punk in the crowd, in the lower right corner. Clicking on the little guy would pop up a window displaying my updates. Boss thought it was fun.
@pirateguillermo That’s awesome! Here’s to simpler times.

@Iconfactory Ah, 1994, when we thought the world was less dysfunctional and when sticking “…on the Internet” at the end of your product description made it just that much more exciting and valuable.

eWorld designers taught me about thinking hard about the user’s cognitive load. They taught me that a hallmark of good design is that it’s invisible. Yeah, that was a good time.

@Iconfactory
eWorld was such a Scully-tainted list of missed opportunities.

It was expensive (you needed separate paid accounts for every family member), was based on AOL software instead of being a HyperCard stack, and had only the most tenuous connection to the Internet.

Imagine if it was a stack for sharing stacks with people, using its spatial metaphor.

@Iconfactory @macmanx Oh I like this one a LOT 😍
@daveycraney @macmanx Thanks! @talosman deserves all the credit. Enjoy!
@Iconfactory @macmanx @talosman Thank you Talosman! It's ace work. Never used e.world as I'm in the UK but as an Apple Fan I've seen many a video about it and this is very cool!
@Iconfactory I love it, I can literally see several of the buildings in here as I type this!
@BrianMitchL Aaaaw that’s great!! Thanks for sharing that. 👍🖖🥰

@Iconfactory Former Minneapolitan here, old enough to remember eWorld when announced, and now slightly misty in the eyes for your tribute to both. It looks like Butler Square in the lower right (or I choose to believe so!), where I worked in the heady days of the first web bubble.

I had Walleroo access with the Tapestry Kickstarter, but never got around to installing the app despite all the great wallpapers that I’ve seen since then. This one, though free, is the one to get my butt in gear!

@johninparis That’s quite an amazing compliment so we all wanna say thanks for that. Hope you continue to enjoy the weekly wallpapers and thanks for your support. 😃

If you have a moment to leave Wallaroo a positive rating or review in the App Store we sure would appreciate it. Every little bit helps. Thanks for considering.🖖

@Iconfactory On this International Day of Happiness, I hope you cultivate habits that bring you joy every day.
