The MacBook Neo is basically the Walmart M1 MacBook Air. But new.

Their specs are a bit different: Neo has a better webcam, display, CPU/NPU. M1 Air had a better GPU, battery, a Force Touch trackpad.

Both had 8GB memory.

Both had 256GB storage.

Both were $599.

@snazzyq I spent a week writing code on an m1 with 8gb of memory while the IT department at work was working on my workstation. That cemented in my mind, how irresponsible selling a mac with 8gb of memory really is.
@joe @snazzyq Sure, but absolutely nobody is going to be buying this Mac for coding purposes! I don’t disagree that it probably should be 12GB RAM and already on the A19 Pro, but still. This is for the people who wouldn’t have ever entertained the idea of a Mac because of pricing before.
@rhysmorgan @snazzyq I wasn't using xcode or running docker containers. I was writing php and node. It shouldn't be that bad.
