It's a world turned upside down when standing up for International Law is called "isolation." I appreciate the EU Commission's support for Spain against Trump’s threats. We cannot allow our territory to be used for unauthorized military interventions. Principles over bullying. 🇪🇺⚖️

According to Article 2.1 and 2.2 of the 1988 Defense Cooperation Agreement, these bases are under Spanish Command. Any mission outside the agreed framework requires EXPLICIT prior authorization from the Spanish Government. No UN resolution means no authorization. @Libertat_22 if the EU backs Spain's play to block the US from using space to stage Iranian attacks...then as bad as I know it would be, I want to watch Trump state "We are going to trade embargo all of the EU" and then watch his popularity fall even further into the toilet.
