omg, all these modern machines with their hundreds of useless stitches but they'll die in less than 10 years.

@evergreensewing Indeed! There's no market incentive for making reliable, good machines that run forever (or nearly forever), unfortunately.
W6KME@ai6yr @evergreensewing They're still being made, but they're pricey. Only found from specialty retailers though; you won't see them at the big box and chain stores.
I just obtained a Baby Lock Decorator's Choice, probably 20 years old, and it looks like with a proper service it will be good to go. I think it's a good example of a long-lasting reliable computerized machine, but again, 95% of those stitches will never be used.
