Multiple Apple tech support people have asked me "Do you have a Mac, or a computer?" and it makes it sound like Apple has sort of given up on the whole computer thing
@aphyr speaking from experience, it’s because the people calling tech support are too dumb to ask their basic question to the internet. If I had a dollar for every user I’ve directed to go to a website, and the response I get is “I’ve got a list of search results in front of me,” I could have retired long before my burnout crippled me.
@baldrpup Yeah I used to work desktop support too--still think it's a funny phrasing!
