@mxchara @JonChevreau @hans Nobody said there was no manipulation of opinion - but there was no significant stealing of votes; the 50-odd attempts by MAGA to "find" votes in their favor would have revealed that.
So yes, there was SO MUCH! lying & information manipulation! - but people still voted for the convicted felon rapist pedo with a known history of being a fraud & a deeply corrupt 1st term & this was not some secret, disputable information passed around on illegally-printed flyers.
@jwcph @JonChevreau @hans ridiculous. to steal an election, you keep people from voting at all, and that's both easy to do and leaves no obvious trail of fakery. this has been an obvious Republican method since 2000 revealed their tricks to the world—not that the Democratic leadership seemed to care that much, because they all tamely accepted the illegitimate selection of Bush Jr. as legitimate once it was accomplished, and didn't even put up any significant resistance to the early deeds of his administration. The Dems were too interested in "healing" and "bipartisanship" and thus it was necessary to lull the American people back to sleep and perpetuate the illusion that the nation was still a functional democracy.
I guess a whole lot of people still cherish that illusion, and cling to it as a handy pretext for whingeing about strawman leftists being solely to blame for Republican fascism, as if decades of Democratic collaboration played no part whatsoever.
