Hi there, Time for a Jolla Phone update. And it is booting up! As of late last week we got very first functional samples (we call it “CNC sample”) completed with the real mechanics, electronics, the SoC, modem, user-replaceable battery and everything together. Very quickly from there we organised a two-day hackday in Tampere to pull it together, and happy to note that as a result we got it now booting up to the beautiful Sailfish UI! Wow! Technica...

@Dequei I admire Jolla's confidence in the timeline, but I won't hold my breath. Deadlines are hard in general, but for hardware manufacturing where you depend on multiple suppliers even more so.

Still, it's not their first rodeo, they should also be aware of these things, so perhaps I'm overly cynical. :D

@jolla Hm. I would've loved to support a European initiative like this and plonked my hard-earned money on this, I do like the idea a lot. I was actually just a few clicks away from buying.
