anything hercules-related always makes me think of the 1960s "mighty hercules", whose theme song includes the unforgettable lyric "iron in his thighs"

I grew up with that one.
My father took me to downtown to watch the Hudson's Thanksgiving Parade (department stores used to do this back when there were department stores) and the local TV station had a float with cartoon characters from shows they broadcast. I was a very happy kid that moment.
@bunnyhero Remember that one well! "Iron in his thighs" sounds like a medical condition.
FUN FACT: Trans-Lux also imported "Speed Racer" and distributed "Felix the Cat"
It started making stock market ticker screens, and had a theater chain that showed newsreels.
Still around, making stadium scoreboards and displays.
