Terwilliger to Tigard on Barbur Blvd with the #lectricOne eBike: 16min, 5.4miles +272ft. I think it was 51.8V ~89% (but did not write it down.) After a 16.2mi group ride on mostly flat, it was at 51.6V ~87% (67%, effectively) Return trip: 17min, +515ft climbing. 48.6V ~59% (39%) + stopped twice to move "road work" signs out of the bike lane (ODOT "safety" projects, with nobody working.)

They have a lot more painted bike lanes to Hall now #pdxBikes, albeit fing sharrows at i5 and 217 ramps 🙃

Of course ODOT piled their tools and shit in the bike lane for two years to finally finish these almost-continuous ones, and the stripes are bumpy rumble strips that are not confidence-inspiring when you have to cross them at 30mph to dodge some broken glass and other neglect. Posted speed: 40mph, total waste of space stroad right next to a 6-lane freeway, but highway dept gonna highway dept 🤷 #ODOTGTFOpdx #pdxBikes
I'm now at 110 miles on this bike and would definitely like the throttle to be programmed differently 😒 and the seatpost angle to be dutchier. But it's got good power and will happily cruise Barbur at 20mph, despite the crude delivery (cadence sensor, sharp ramp-up, useless throttle program.) I have not tried to unlimit it yet, but it would probably get 28mph up some of those long hills... I have to sit further back at 30mph going down, it's a little sketchy. #BikeTooter #eBikes #lectricOne
How do I get a layback suspension seatpost? The 7/8 layback post and saddle from the #LittleBigOrangeBike would fit (31.8mm) if I took the outer shim(s) off. [It's got an extra layer of brass shim between the two shims, enough of a hassle to swap around that I might buy another post+shim+saddle set anyway.]
@enobacon This has me thinking that in the same way that I prefer a stick shift, I prefer self-propelled because of the way I get to determine so many little variables from geometry to acceleration.
@geonz g is constant, I can only change m a little. h is about 500ft for a couple miles in any direction.
