@djlink And considering all the devices that use an OS, wildly impossible to do. That oscilloscope? Runs Windows CE. Your car’s infotainment system? Some version of Linux. Your TV? Probably an Android variant.

You can’t right a law to cover all use cases, and a one size fits all is impossible. I thought California would be better about this

Sure we can, follow China's footsteps here. They have this system pretty well down already. All that's missing is a national OS to keep things simple : )
