Racism among Danish far-right politicians is jaw dropping.

Running for reelection to parliament is Mikkel Bjørn, a member of Dansk Folkeparti, who recently used the official parliamentary processes to ask our Minister of Integration if a 17-year-old girl could be denied citizenship based on the fact that her last name was “Arab”, arguing she should “move back to her home country where such a lastname would be appropriate”.

Curiously, his own party leader goes by the German name Messerschmidt.

The latest development in this matter is, that Mikkel Bjørn now claims he asked the question by mistake. I find that explanation really strange, because formulating and submitting questions to the minister is a multistep process.
@randahl Be them racists or surveillance capitalists, when caught the explanation it's always "it was a mistake/error".
