So, now we know significant shares of #political #landscape isn't really interested in protecting children. Therefore, #CSAM excuses are all #TrojanHorse for #rights #violations.

On the other hand if there were trustworthy smartphones and computers, with software that fully respects #privacy and #confidentiality and #integrity, maybe some of those children would've been able to cease a rare opportunity to communicate. That's now made difficult by ever decreasing (digital) rights.

All the tech sectors and countries are competing with ever more exotic things nobody really needs. But no country or tech region has yet considered to go for truly secure, rights-preserving.

With the news I see going by over course of a year, I bet if e.g. China or Russia or maybe India would redirect course and go for truly secure technology, instead of malicious activity and attempted backdoors and such, then they would get *significant* shares of resp. customer-base. (Or America ..)

I mean, literally, #politics *is* *not* fighting child abuse and trafficking. If they were, there would've been this ENORMOUS opportunity within their grasp for years, without ever requiring any increase in rights violations.

#privacy #confidentiality #integrity #security would have all worked in the favor of those children too. Exactly those values and principles are constantly under attack.

It's clear that #religion does nothing to contribute to morals and ethics. It is better at producing false claims of superiority, excuses for mistreatment and false sense of relief of all past malicious actions. #Religion is also good at hijacking positives as a win for spirituality, while attributing negatives to #individual.

And then there's the primary motivation behind child abuse of various kinds. It was always claimed to be sexual. But with the Epstein and Hollywood shit coming out and the various conspiracy theories going around, I wonder in how many percent of cases, the primary motivator is #religion #religious and/or #ritual #ritualistic. Because you're fighting a whole different kind of problem, if the vast majority of children are in danger for other reasons that sexuality, as now keeps being claimed.

For that matter, it also implies that risks attributable to such #religious and/or #ritualistic practices can have serious implications that are far broader than children becoming victims, which may mean other leads may point to the same origins, and it may mean that other/larger groups are at risk as well.

At this point, is #CSAM just a distraction as well as an excuse to violate #rights indiscriminately?
