Sherbert's new cage should be delivered today! 🦜

Sister is coming tomorrow for the quarterly traumatic event. Time to cut Sherbert's nails. I hold the burrito and sister wields the clippers. 😨 βœ‚οΈ

Cleaning lady (my hero) coming on Monday, so I'll start pre-cleaning today! She did tell me to stop doing that, but... πŸ™„ 🧹 🧽

Have a lovely Saturday y'all! Be kind!

Will the new cage be β€œnew and scary” or just new, do you think?

Our canary-wing was absolutely fine getting a new cage, but when we replaced our TAG’s cage, we found a very similar cage. It was a different color and therefore *very scary* for a few days. We set it up next to his and once he was comfortable with going into it took his old cage away.

It is the same cage, but white instead of black. And it will be free of six years of gunk that no amount of scrubbing will remove.

I am a little worried, to be honest. I will put it next to the old one ... 🀞

@Lorraine
That’s why our TAG got a new one too. Old one was pinkish, but had rust spots, as I’m sure he’d had it since his previous owner got him and he was 11 when he came to live with us. New one is brown. They are both probably too small for him, but his cage is never closed except at night and he can wander wherever he wants and has a tower of fruit boxes to play in too.

I love when he talks in her voice. When he’s really happy he goes into his boxes and has whole convos in her voice. πŸ’•

Awww, how sweet is that!!

Sherb's cage is always open, too. I usually get up between 2 and 3am due to pain and she will come out and lay on my chest for a while πŸ’˜

@Lorraine
Awww. She’s such a sweetie.

Yeaaah...
When she wants to be πŸ˜‰
