Today is the 93rd anniversary of the #ReichstagFire that Hitler used as an excuse to suspend civil liberties. It’s unknown if it was a false flag, though most mainstream historians today lean towards a solo communist who set the fire, potentially with German help though that's been difficult to prove.

Everything Hitler did was legal. Sometimes after the fact, but always codified to be so. Republicans have control of the Presidency, House, Senate, Supreme Court, most governorships, all or part of most state legislatures, and a significant number of federal judgeships. Believing that in two or four years we will be able to change that electorally is to not understand what it is the Republican Party, its allies, and supporters are intending, and their plans to achieve their goals, legally.
