@Doridian Whoa, I have never heard of Flux before but that is some *beautiful* hardware.
How's the typing experience?
@notthatdelta So far, pretty good actually! And surprisingly, the keys are not immediately full of visible fingerprints either!
I am using the tactile frame atm, but they also have a linear one which I might try at some point. :3
@Doridian very cool! I was reading up on the tech (magnets instead of springs) and it looks really interesting. Also looks easy to clean, which is a big plus.
I may look into getting one of these if the price drops a bit. I use a Cloud Nine right now due to some wrist issues (split ergo is perfect for me) so it's hard to justify that price for a keyboard that I could only use for an hour or two. I do see Flux is considering an ergo model though, so I'll keep an eye on them!
@IceWolf Yeah, basically it is a screen and the keys are a (replacable) layer/module on top of that made from surprisingly clear plastic.
That way they only needed to put in one screen, but you still have physical keys.
@Doridian That is heckin' COOL. All (well, most of) the customizability/input method fanciness of phone/table screen keyboards, _without_ the horrible feel.
I want one. I bet they're ridonkulously expensive though. Someday, hopefully.
@Doridian holy shit they actually made it??
I'm guessing they got the typing feel good enough if you love it already!
@noxypaws Yeah, it honestly isn't bad at all. The sound is for sure different than what I'm used to, and so is the feel. But I don't hate it.
I'll have to use this for a longer time to figure out if I like it or not. x3
