Today hanging out I saw lots of beings with their silly cameras, like Instax, and other analog things to take pictures of fursuiters outside.

Makes me wish I brought my silly camera <.<
And by silly camera I mean my Lytro Illum.

At the same time, I'm also worried how long I can keep that thing going, given it has a proprietary Lithium battery and I can't find aftermarket replacements >.> (And it doesn't seem to be a size where I could just fill it with 18650s or the like)

Which just means even more I should use it while I still can easily use it.

I suppose once the battery dies, since it is just 3.7V spec I can just hotwire an external 18650 bank to the outputs and hope it doesn't care about all the balancing connectors just to work?

Thanks to the friendly @fossdd who packaged anubis for Alpine, making it much easier to use in my Docker image crimes :3

(Also congrats on becoming an Alpine Linux developer)

Random Dorifox thought of the day:

Mh, my electronic load can simulate transients in the kHz range. Can I use its UART control interface to turn PSUs into instruments? Like, with heavy enough transients I should be able to make them coil whine at specific frequencies, right?

RE: Last boost for people with Qualcomm WiFi cards

This contains the updated ath12k firmware, which, on some Qualcomm WCN785x (FastConnect 7800) cards, requires kernel 6.16, which is still in RC.

So this might break WiFi (ask me how I found out...).

I would suggest taring up your /lib/firmware/ath12k folder just in case. That way you can just restore that one folder and fix your WiFi

I think I really wanna move my servers to Nix at some point?
I'd go K8s with a bare K8s type OS but I wanna do enough whack crap that K8s will probably not enjoy so >.> (such as multiple NICs per container, usually one internal bridge and then passthru SR-IOV NICs for external connectivity)

Yeah, I do think a large part of this is just me having a hard time finding topics, or even finding a video game I like that others are actually interested in playing with me.

That used to be first Garry's Mod, then Minecraft and also Factorio. Both of the former are now effectively mostly dead games, and Factorio lost its appeal to my brain after I played it too much.
