100%. Did it to spend more time with my son but even when he'll need me a bit less I probably would not go back to a 40 hour work week.

@tante exactly the same here. In the Job Interview they asked "If your children are getting older, can you do 100% again?"" I lied and said yes. But I will never return to it. 80% ist enough for me. But I know that it is very privileged to have a Job which allows that.
@tante My only dislike about working 80% is that it rankles to be paid 80% less when I'm pretty confident I'm more productive than when I worked 100%
@tante @davidgerard Doing 32h/week since 12 years now.
@dasdom @tante did this from 2021, best move ever
@tante I really would love to reduce my working hours/days, but I can't because of harsh competition in german HIgher Education. This interview here basically explains my (and many ohter Scientists on temporaly limited contracts) situation: https://www.spiegel.de/wissenschaft/mensch/mitgruenderin-von-ichbinhanna-warum-amrei-bahr-ihren-job-in-der-wissenschaft-aufgeben-will-a-ace93561-8c6e-4454-b05c-906eafc1f500 I manage to not work on weekends or late hours any more, but this is because I am already kind of senior and good/routined at what I am doing. This is not as possible for PhD students for example...

@tante Doing it for 18 years now and won't ever go back! But I am very aware of the fact that I am in a priviliged situation to be able to do so.
