π£ New paper: Our collaborative interrogation of cobalt ferrite catalysts in water oxidation underlined the importance of defect engineering of these materials: While defect-poor samples were more active in chemical water oxidation, defect-rich catalyst work better in electrochemical water oxidation.
π€ The work is a beautiful collaboration between chemistry and physics led by Heiko Wende's project B02 at University of Duisburg-Essen in the CRC/TRR 247. They utilized PALS (positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy) for defect analysis of our catalysts.
