#AntlerWatch 2 cuties grazing earlier, a younger and elder. Any chance you want to cast those where I can harvest? 👀
I’ve only found one small two-pointed antler a few years ago on the cemetery, but to be fair i don’t get on many hikes
@moss So this was awhile back? By now they must have tossed em. I've found several sheds, deer and elk, made some things from some. Good friend who lives in Eastern WA got a new dog, a Griffon Pointer something, and it brought home a nice whitetail antler last week during a walk, it gets bones mostly. So now he is training it to find sheds. 🦌

@GPJohnston oooh that’s rad! And nope, current! I’m surprised they haven’t??

We had an unseasonably late snow, but I understood the rut hormones were tied to light more than temp, now I need to research antler casting timing when head hurts less !

@moss Most blacktailed deer shed antlers December-January I think, this seems late. Hope you feel better! Edit: Looked it up, sometimes they shed as late as March.
@GPJohnston thank you!! I knew I’d seen them in early Feb here before in a diff cold year but not late Feb
