Last month I released an app for practicing noun declensions and verb conjugations in Pāli, the classical language of the early Buddhist texts:

It’s open source and runs on both mobile and desktop platforms thanks to @unoplatform

Surely this is a niche app, but it already has received some great feedback from the small Pāli learning community. Now I need to start practicing the inflections myself

The app’s icon shows the quail from SN 47:6, the Sakuṇagghi Sutta ("The Hawk"), hiding behind rocks in its ancestral territory – a newly plowed field with clumps of earth all turned up.

Staying within one's ancestral territory is a metaphor for remaining mindful and free from the dangers that come from heedlessness:
