Can someone really smart explain to me why when looking into water from a boat you always have light reflections that centre around where you stand, no matter where you stand? It's always fascinated me. That's my shadow in the water. Notice how the light rays look similar to an iris around my head.

The sun is directly behind your head, so any shadows will seem to originate from there as well. You can get the same effect by looking at your own shadow in a patch of grass :)
@gufo @studioumluft That's interesting. I was thinking to myself that it does usually only happen at the sun's highest point. So you might be right
