I’m used to getting some pretty unhinged feedback, but, I genuinely haven’t a clue what this is about. 🤨

I’ve found /r/atpfm to be… not for me.

But this is legitimately ★★★★★

🤣🤣

@caseyliss I saw a comment on that subreddit asking if there was different subreddit for people who actually like the podcast. That resonated with me.
@SmileyKeith 100% this
@caseyliss @SmileyKeith Marco did one for overcast. I can’t see why you can’t have an official subreddit. Especially that Marco testifies that when you’re personally involved redittors become actually polite and reasonable.

@Beirutspring @SmileyKeith I hung out in /r/atpfm for a while a year or so ago, and basically all it was was people bitching about me. And some about Marco.

Even when I spent a not-insignificant amount of time there, those attitudes never changed.

@caseyliss @Beirutspring is a large part of the private feedback you receive similarly toxic?

@SmileyKeith @Beirutspring Generally email feedback is one of three things:

• From a person with a name and respectful, even if disagreeing
• One of John’s flying monkeys that is convinced ever doubting him is roughly the same as murdering a kitten (rare, but it happens)
• From someone anonymous, usually with one of the iCloud “send this anonymously” addresses, and fucking vile

@Beirutspring @caseyliss @SmileyKeith it’d be safer / healthier / trad tech to have a web forum, and let subscribers get a star on their name (YouTube does this now)
