Lean on design that is all human and creativity.

Not the bullshit flat design that looks like it was made for Elon's lame factory robots devoid of anything human.

Flat design sucks ass.

And whoever told you that your content should be elevated while the UI recedes is a liar and doesn't know what they're talking about.
@marioguzman especially when that person decided the UI should have saturation and HDR boosting effects on them 🤨
@marioguzman UI and content has to mix and match!

@marioguzman Indeed! I liked Boris‘ post about that the other day:

I just published a new essay: »The Interface is Content«. In the essay, I argue that the user interface cannot be separated from the content. (And I make a fun analogy to typography!) https://borism.medium.com/the-interface-is-content-b13f4d693d66 #ux #ui #typography

@marioguzman As long as the UI is eLeVaTeD to be *on top of* my content, I consider the entire talking point of “elevating your content” complete bullshit.

@marioguzman Mario, I saw a design that was, I think, a MacOS design pre-OS X that looked incredible. I wish I’d saved the images somewhere because I cannot find it again.

It wasn’t flat and is a design I’d LOVE to see back in the operating system.

My hope is they can morph what they have into something more beautiful or just sweep it under the rug and give us something completely new. 🤞🏼

@fahrni @marioguzman Was it the Rhapsody UI design based on Platinum?
@chrisgervais @marioguzman Maybe? Do you have a screenshot?
@fahrni @marioguzman Something like this?

@chrisgervais @marioguzman Maybe? I recall the font being different and I think I’d need to see a button.

It’s possible my brain is making stuff up.
