~~Apple Music web isn't working on Vivaldi, which settles it, I'll have to use Spotify on desktop I guess.

Yes, Widevine was working on Vivaldi.~~

turns out, you can just restart the computer and it'll work. Also used Chromium (which needs Widevine to be installed, chromium-widevine is the AUR package you need), but I fail to see how this'd affect Vivaldi.

#Linux

I'm not going to troubleshoot it or overthink about it. I need things that work reliably if I'm going to full-time Linux again and Spotify fits the bill.

as for local music, well, if you know me you know I'll prat on about MusicBee lol. I'm not looking for alternatives, especially since I'm gonna try making my own no matter how.

Strawberry is not an alternative - if you suggest that I will assume you used Claude.

@Flaky For local music I use VLC. For the life of me I cant find another local music player that displays my folder structure exactly how I like it on the desktop. I have tried strawberry. It just simply isnt the same and doesnt display my metadata how I like it in folders compared to vlc.

@Quot3 VLC is cromulent for playing back individual stuff or groups of tracks, but it's not built for media libraries the same way MusicBee is.

When it comes to Linux, I've resorted to MusicBee under WINE for now. All I'll say is, KDE is the best desktop for running that one though there are still some issues I'll need to report to KDE whenn I can.
