Really tired of hearing about "vibe coding" and AI honestly, I can't go 1 minute without seeing some AI bro in anything remotely related to programming/software development.
This may come as a surprise, but I actually enjoy putting time in to write my own code, it gives me a great level of personal satisfaction when I write something that works for my purposes & ideas.
I do not enjoy role-playing a product manager with tons of LLMs that cost hundreds a month.
Yes, I know I can run LLMs locally and whatnot, but with the risk of prompt injection attacks + Bickering with the AI and going back & forth in ever-increasing frustration, on top of never honing my own skills as a programmer?
Yeah, no, fuck that. It's just not fun, and it's mentally harmful, since I'm no-longer using my brain for a task that I want to.
We all did fine without this stupid tech, so why are we all so eager to give up our autonomy to it now?!
Normally, I try not to rant publicly on my social media pages, but this literal plagiarism machine has ruined a topic, hobby and my hopes for the future irreparably for me, and I can not help but get angry when I hear about it or see it, it is a blight on creation and a sin against life itself in my eyes.
What AI bros never seem to understand is that quantity over quality is not the way to go if you care about your work, but they only want imaginary points
