Hey Mastodonians, it’s been a long, long time since I’ve done a Friday Night Mixtape post. But here we are, and it’s time once again to create another old-fashioned community mixtape — just like we used to do in the olden days.

I think this might be the first piece of music in my memory. I swear I recall hearing it when I was still in a crib, and the melody itself brings such an intense nostalgia of childlike wonder at how music can evoke a feeling, it makes me cry sometimes. I don't hear it often, but it is strong for me.
@mlevel when our baby didn't want to sleep, we searched for a video with the keywords 'baby dots' and ended up with some very basic psychedelic video of moving dots on the screen with this backing music.
Worked like a charm.
Will never be able to listen to this song without this association anymore :)
