Taste testing the cocoa nib infused mezcal in #negroni (side by side with non infused control)
Flavor is excellent, chocolatey - I'm undecided whether to filter the #mezcal further through filter paper (not just the cheesecloth multi layers) to get it clearer.

@SRDas I'd be curious how much of the chocolate flavor is suspended small particles vs extracted flavor, i.e. if you coffee filter it does it get less chocolate flavor. I don't know enough about the chemistry of cocoa flavors to hazard a guess.
@thatdnaguy Yes, that's why I'm undecided about filtering. There are no particulates detectable in the mouth and tongue (which is quite sensitive 2-10 microns or so), so no need to filter really. Still I would think most of the flavor is extracted and non visible, so would be clearer solution but still brown perhaps (not unlike a vanilla bean extract)
