Morning Mastodonians!
Another frustrating morning between the pipes! It was one of those games where I played well, except for the stupid goals I let in. Especially the weak shot from my right that banged off my pads and in. But we managed to tie it up 3-3 with an extra man. I got back in the net, and the pressure was on from the other side, and they managed to slam one up over my shoulder for the win with three seconds to go! I was very busy and made lots of saves, but we shouldโ€™ve won.
We have been playing The White Castle on BGA, and itโ€™s pretty fun. It would be a nightmare to play in real life because there are so many things going on and things to keep track of, but the computer does a great job of it. It might be fun playing solitaire, though. I have also enjoyed the solo card game Resist! by one of my favorite designers, David Thompson. It is on the Franco resistance in the late 30s through the early 50s. It never ends well...

Not much planned for #today. Looks like there will be some snow and ugly weather moving in this afternoon, so probably just hunker down. Maybe I will try another Best Picture nominee tonight, like Frankenstein or Train Dreams. We did get our #EV6โ€™s front bumper fixed, so now nothing is dragging on the ground. I gotta do some paint touchup though. It was good having the girls around today, too, doing the taxiing. Much cheaper than an Uber!
I finally finished my task for one of the projects this morning in the #SaltMine. I will demo it on Monday, and hopefully, this demo will go better than my previous ones. Now I need to tackle the other task: writing test suites for the new code I wrote.

@jdarnold No it's pretty fun f2f. Only 9 moves! Perfect for playing with slow players.
@iain @jdarnold a game that makes you think really really hard for a short amount of time. We play it in person with four all the time. It helps that the game owner is super into keeping track of rules and does so for everyone.
@mwt @iain even online, we've really enjoyed its tight 9 turn play!
@jdarnold Actually, it is no nightmare at all to play on the table. Compared to other games, maintanance in between is close to none existing and rules are clear. Isee advantages only in setup an teardown, but on the other hand, I don't play board games online at all, mostly for the same reasons, I don't do solo games. So I may overloked something.
@jdarnold it's really not that crazy in real life.
@jdarnold The White Castle is fun to play in real life too!
