Waag Futurelab
Vanaf vandaag starten Waag Futurelab, @innovatie en bewoners van de Nieuwmarktbuurt met het gezamenlijke onderzoek naar meshtechnologie voor noodcommunicatie!
Zo'n 30 bewoners kregen gisteravond tijdens de startbijeenkomst een meshapparaat mee naar huis. De komende drie maanden testen we samen de grenzen en mogelijkheden die meshtechnologie biedt in noodsituaties.

@TheDutchChief it doesn't even have a Wikipedia article. From what I gather, it is a proprietary technology based on LoRa that requires paid per-device licenses?

@TheDutchChief that's weird because their github states it is free and open source while their shop sells licenses for £8. Sure I can research myself but I might not be the only one who is interested. It would be appreciated if you could post an overview.

My question still stands: please tell us more about the technology you chose. E.g. there seem to be competing technologies like Meshtastic. Why did you pick this one?

@tinx Must be clear, I am not related anyway with De Waag. I just recognized ¨Meshcore" on the screen because I'm als trying this technique Just as @mboelen Except from the hardware I didn´t pay a penny for it. There is an app for phones which asks for money, but is usable free.
