Daily driving #postmarketOS is impossible for me. Not because it is unusable, not at all. It actually does everything you could want out of a phone bar the actual phone bit, which is the issue. I am the kind of person to use my phone very little. I don't play games, I don't watch TV, I don't really go on the internet. I just use it for calling, texting, and scanning QR codes. Since pmOS generally can't do two out of three of those things, I can't daily-drive it...
@justsoup I have been daily driving it for 3 months now, primarily for calls and texts. Also carry android phone for upi and banking related stuffs. Using sxmo pmos on lenovo A6000.
@justsoup I daily drive it since years (and on edge, as I am a bit crazy), and the last annoying bit is to have to reboot after a call to be 100% sure to have sounds on the next one
@vmaurin Which device? I've definitely heard of that but can't remember which one off the top of my head.
@justsoup the oneplus 6 It is also very smooth experience with Phosh. The golden rules for daily driving is disabling the suspend (so just have the screen dimming). The battery will last for a bit more than a day. Then you get texts/calls/firefox in your pocket
@justsoup It happens in the same way... I have an OP6T and I would love to be able to use it as the main device. The main problem is the calls and the camera. it is not that I call all the time but a phone without calls I do not see any sense. and the camera is something that I often use to photograph my puppy and for and other things that I consider important and that I send to other people.
