Trying to wrap my head around the new rules to visit the UK. My daughter was born in Australia (I am British originally) but only has an Australian passport (as I wasn't married to her mother when she was born, our understanding at the time was she would have to claim citizenship) but now she might automatically be a dual citizen and need a passport but no one seems able to tell us until we try to travel and get rejected?! #UK is just getting more hostile.
@Offbeatmammal We needed ETAs (there is an app that scans your passport and sets it all up in minutes) for my wife and kids. Once I got the kids their passports they no longer need one. To get the passport was not hard either - all online. Did have to send birth certificate and marriage cert though, so you might need to do something different.
@Bluedonkey problem is right now I can't get a straight answer if she has been classified as Dual Citizen or not as the flowchart is less than clear... And the Home Office seem to think "Yes Minister" was a blueprint for how to set up communication channels (or perhaps "Brazil")
