If you're looking for interesting people to follow, I find it useful to

- search for accounts/bots you already follow on other social media sites

- follow tags you're interested in, like #punk until you find accounts that post about stuff you're interested in

Mastodon is slower than other social media, but it's also more personal and less stressful (in my experience)

Well, intro posts often have many people swarming in to say hi and few toots get 100+ boosts. Don’t expect every toot to go like this.

@curiousicae Even in this case, the start was much warmer compared to Bluesky. So can't be worse here ;)
