It's apparent that people have taken the idea and created their own versions. The image I posted seems to have both hands of equal thickness, whereas Ji Lee's original version has the hour hand noticeably thicker.

rich@ellane When I look at this - is it just me or do they look like posts in the ground with a shadow - i.e. a sundial....and now I'm wondering - it that actually the reason we made clocks look like this in the first place?!
