alex helvetica@philip my favourite get fucked moment of Victorian public transport was the V/Line Gippsland line cancelled 6:30PM service inbound service, so the next service was an hour away.
The later services at the time didn't stop at Richmond, so I'd have to transfer at Caulfield and wait 15min for a Frankston train to Richmond, or go to FSS, and take a service through the loop to Richmond.
To then wait 30 min for a train to Blackburn. That really was a night...

@philip @mherbert looking at messages, I was extremely lucky that the Burnley group train was late. Because it would have been a 30 min wait.
I was planning on catching the 7:15 train from Moe to Melbourne, then ended up on the 8:04 (which arrived 8 min late) train.
That arrived at Caulfield 8min late, which actually didn't affect the connection to Richmond, because it made it a 7 min connection instead of 15.
Then luckily the train to Blackburn was a fair bit late, which meant an extremely tight connection instead of a 30min connection.
It also happened a day shy of 6 years ago
