Non cat news?? (The cats are doing fine and getting along.)

My coworker saw me wearing a hat I’d made, complimented it, then shyly said “I want a hat.” “Sure! What color?” Hats are easy peasy and I’m always happy to have an excuse to knit for someone. She indicated my hat and said “I like green.” Then she reconsidered, indicated her tan coat, and said “I like neutrals.” I dug through my stash and made her a Toph (which is among the most popular hat patterns out there). #knitting

She was showing it off to people yesterday. “Lisa made it!” One guy jokingly said to me, “Where’s my hat?” “You didn’t ask.” A girl replied “I AM ASKING!” Hah. She apparently loves it so much she wants the same pattern, but black on white. I showed her some other similar patterns by the same designer, and she considered them, but decided she liked the Toph best. Anyway I have to run out and get some white yarn, I had black in my stash.
