Made a witches hat, knitted then felted.
For my 5-year old, for carnaval next week.

Still drying :)

First time in my life I've been excited about making something for carnaval. It helps that I don't need to participate in it beyond creating a costume :)

I followed a (free) pattern, and just tweaked it to make it a bit smaller as its for a child and the pattern was for adults only. And after the felting in the dryer I put it (as in the picture) on top of a saucer pan which ahs the same size as my daughters head. I hope it will dry in this shape. But mostly it is the way it is knitted.

I highly recommend 100% wool for felting. Superwash will not work.

I always wanted to make a witches hat for my daughter for carnival but she had other ideas.

At least I could make a Leia hat one year. With the braided buns.
