So I'm going public with a project I've been working on: github.com/Tend-Notes/tend/. I've been disappointed at the state of note-taking tools. Too complicated, too monetized, too unstable. I set out to build a self-hosted, always free, outliner/digital garden, based on Markdown, accessible from anywhere with a browser, with optional encryption, backlinks, bullet cross referencing, etc. Very alpha, no representations or warranties, provided AS-IS. AI-assisted development. #indieweb #selfhosting

@daj Not yet. There was one, but it was misbehaving. I decided to push this so I would have more of an incentive to fix the demo site issue. It's probably a 30-minute fix and I'm going to look at it this weekend.

I had a look at the demo site, thanks. Observation -- Alt Shift P does nothing for me in my browser (Vivaldi & Linux). I fired up Firefox (eek!) and that key combo did work. Closed it down again to save any AI intrusion.

My view is that keyboard shortcuts are nice, but you can't rely on them across o/s and browsers. We need an icon to click for the command palette. Currently I can't create a page.

I then tried to spin up a docker container on my device.

docker: Error response from daemon: Head "https://ghcr.io/v2/tend-notes/tend/manifests/latest": denied

Hope this helps with the debugging etc.

@daj Appreciate the feedback. I have not tested docker at all, as I'm in a NixOS environment. I'll go take a swing at docker this weekend.

I'm curious if ALT-SHIFT-P is reserved in Vivaldi... I expect there's a safe list maintained somewhere, but, if not, I'm going to focus on clean UI controls and less on keyboard commands (I tend--lol--to favor keyboard shortcuts but I don't need MOST OF them for something like this)

@daj Been a bit. Wanted to let you know I created a docker deployment ghcr.io/tend-notes/tend:latest

I haven't tested it thoroughly, as I don't really use docker right now, but it returns a positive health check (so appears to be starting correctly), if you'd still like to test.
