#reddit is apparently now posting "AI" summaries of comment threads. You know, for when ... I don't know exactly.

And there's no evident way to turn them off, which is peak #AI nonsense. It's just "HEY HERE'S A ROBOT AUTOCORRECT GUESS AT WHAT THIS THREAD SAYS"

Hell, if I were an Apple investor I’d be furious. A bunch of slow “AI” gimmicks that don’t meaningfully improve the user’s experience? This felt like a parody. Awful, half-assed send off for Tim Cook.

Well that was the most underwhelming #Apple keynote I’ve ever seen. A whole bunch of focus on things I will never actively use.

To tie this AI-centric mess into a drug hazed San Francisco gimmick was accidentally perfect. If I were in the Apple developer ecosystem right now, I would be incredibly disappointed.

I know this is going to be completely out of left field, but I have absolutely no idea what the new #digg is attempting to accomplish. The UI is insane.

The fact that its "beta test" is a feed of #AI news is just deeply on brand for Kevin Rose though.

The fact that Susan Collins might win again because Maine Democrats were fine with a guy with a totenkopf tattoo and apparently recurring bouts of atrocious personal judgment is incredibly depressing.

One benefit of having strong party institutions is that you can adequately vet candidates. Oh well.

Of the mainline #starwars films, it outranks ROTJ, TROS, and all three prequels in my completely scientific panel.

A day later, I'm still happy with Mandalorian and Grogu. It was WONDERFUL. I am beyond perplexed that people didn't think it was "cinematic" or a good Star Wars story. Hell, the thing I was most worried about was some early reviews of the pacing, and I thought it was great. The mid-movie pause in the forest was well-timed.

It's a movie about a space knight and his frog son. I *enjoyed* it more than Rogue One. #starwars

New litmus test dropped: I don't trust anyone who didn't think #MandalorianAndGrogu was an absolute blast, a delightful way to spend a weekend with the family consuming popcorn and candy and enjoying the spectacle. It was like one of the spaced out #StarWars comic books from around 1978-80, before they'd really gotten their extended universe under their feet. It wasn't perfect, but I'd go see it again right now.

Points for a constructive father-son relationship in Star Wars.

Had to try 3 different gas stations to find regular #gasoline in #tampa. And when I found it, it was nearly $5/gallon (which is likely low compared to some places). I'm used to hunting for gas after a hurricane, but never on a random Tuesday. #fdt
Absolutely nothing in Germain Lussier’s fandom-centric negative review of the Mandalorian and Grogu makes me want to see it less. A fun, low-stakes, straightforward flick without the fate of the galaxy on the line? Sign me up.
