Which game dynamics does #CrimsonDesert have? All of them. Every single one. It is not a good game for someone with my brain. (That is not to say it is not a good game, however.)
Weir not being a fan of most new Trek isn't a problem. I don't like most new Trek. It's the whole non-political aside he makes that's weird and problematic.
I'm perplexed by #andyweir's comments about #startrek. He's apologized, so he knows he was incorrect, but I'm simply surprised that Weir (a) thinks that he's not political and (b) doesn't think Trek is deeply political. Two of Weir's 3 books have a male protagonist (and, though I'm not sure it's stated explicitly, a white male protagonist). That is a creative choice, a potentially revealing one, even if it was not intentional. Creative choices and politics are closely intertwined.
One thing that always strikes me about going from iOS to Android is how amateurish and slapdash Android is. I’ve spent two days trying to add my child to a Samsung Galaxy without success. Before you blame Samsung (and that’s a whole other level of amateurishness), the add is failing in the google part of the sign-in. It’s just comical how bad the experience is.
With luck and a bit of determination, I will watch none of the game and none of the ads.
I’ll be spending the evening folding laundry and writing an op plan.

Tend - A digital garden for your thoughts

This project is primarily for me, but I'm trying to build it to be viable for anyone and not TOO opinionated about what I want. Contributions and suggestions are welcome. (Code review and security review are coming up on my todo list after I get a bit more fit and finish in place.)
The license, for now, is MIT+Commons Clause, which is intended to prohibit monetization of the project, though I continue to review the licensing to permit maximum flexibility while protecting the project against any attempt to create barriers to its use by the community. My understanding is that this means the project is not "open source" according to FSF, and that's ok. It is intended to have restrictions to maintain it as a public good.
So I'm going public with a project I've been working on: github.com/Tend-Notes/tend/. I've been disappointed at the state of note-taking tools. Too complicated, too monetized, too unstable. I set out to build a self-hosted, always free, outliner/digital garden, based on Markdown, accessible from anywhere with a browser, with optional encryption, backlinks, bullet cross referencing, etc. Very alpha, no representations or warranties, provided AS-IS. AI-assisted development. #indieweb #selfhosting
