Eversense 365: the first two weeks

Last week I published my experience with the Eversense 365, an implantable CGM (continuous glucose monitor) that replaced my Dexcom G7. In my previous article, I detailed my journey to getting the implant and my first few day's experience with the device. For context, you should probably read that before

The Bryant Review
@gardiner_bryant I didn't think you'd have a shriveled up liver. Hopefully you've realized refined sugars and carbohydrates were the reason for that (if it's type II).

@msokiovt 1) a "shriveled up liver?" That's *alcoholism*, not diabetes.

2) I'm a type 1 diabetic but I deal with the stigma associated with type 2 all the time. This is due to both general ignorance of the subject but also because I was originally misdiagnosed as type 2.

3) I'm sick of people treating diabetes as if it's totally their fault. Whether or not type 2 is the result of diet and (lack of) exercise or not, American culture, food industry, and lax regulations are equally to blame.

@gardiner_bryant I assumed type 2 due to it being more common than type 1. I think I met someone with type 1 in the past (I was young, and don't know if it was type 1 or type 2).

I'm no expert on this sort of thing, but that was what I learned and researched for type 2 diabetes (I don't have it, and empathize with those who have either form).
