I know about D&D.
I know about GURPS.
I know about Thirsty Sword Lesbians.

Are there any other table/role playing game systems I should know about that folks care to recommend?

(Yes, I know I could just do a basic web search and find an impersonal list but those aren't *recommendations*. I've received recommendations for all three of the systems listed above from people who've played them (though admittedly the TSL rec was from ~2022 and GURPS rec was from ~2009).)

@pockets
- Blades in the Dark (and the Forged in the Dark ecosystem)
- Fate (Core, Condensed, Accelerated)
- Apocalypse World (and the Powered by the Apocalypse ecosystem)
@pockets If you enjoy the number-crunchy aspects of D&D but want (way) more options for every single decision point, Pathfinder 2E might be of interest.
@pockets To me, Traveller is another one of the big names in the #ttrpg space to be aware of. Long history, many editions, devoted fanbase, big influence on later space games, distinct play style from the other major games

@pockets My group is currently playing Daggerheart and Pirate Borg and loving both systems.

There are so many RPGs out there; what genres are you into?

@pockets
- Savage Worlds hasn't been mentioned. Its another Toolbox system like GURPS but geared more towards pulp stories and narratives.
- Fabula Ultima is an interesting system that plays like older JRPGs (think Chrono Trigger or old Final Fantasy).
- Anime5e takes the core mechanics of 5e and builds a point buy character creation system around them allowing for a new style of play with familiar mechanics.
- Ars Magica its a troupe style system built around its effect-based magic system.
@pockets I recommend looking at Fate. It's a very different approach than D&D or GURPS. I'd also recommend Traveller (or Cepheus Engine, the OGL-based clone)
