@cstross Mimic exterminator! As such, one of the lowest ranked members of a police state ruling a constantly expanding pseudomedieval megastructure arcology who are explicitly seeking to build a fantasy ecumenopolis.

Honestly not the worst job, except for the inherent culpability in the horrifying inequality and social abuses of the megastructure which definitely isn't a barely concealed allegory for capitalism. Definitely not. 😂

@cstross is it a physical treasury containing precious things? Or an electronic crypto currency mainframe type affair? For the former, are wormholes an option to relocate the whole planet?
